Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the KiranaMitra application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WeSimplifAI Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us"). We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

KiranaMitra is a voice-first billing and payment collection application designed for informal retail merchants in India. The App enables merchants to:

  • Enter items via voice, tap, or quick-add input modes
  • Generate itemized bills with automatic total calculation
  • Generate dynamic UPI QR codes for payment collection
  • Record cash payments and udhar (credit) transactions
  • Maintain a transaction history and daily summary

Core features are provided free of charge. Premium features are available by paid subscription.

Core billing, voice input, UPI QR generation, cash confirmation, udhar recording, and 30-day transaction history are permanently free. No time limit, no credit card required.

3. Eligibility

To use KiranaMitra, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be operating as a registered or informal business operator in India
  • Have an Android device running Android 8.0 or higher

The App is currently available only in India. Use from outside India is not supported and may result in limited or no functionality.

4. Free and Paid Features

Free features (permanently free, no expiration): Core voice billing, UPI QR generation, cash confirmation, udhar/credit recording, bill preview and editing, today's summary, 30-day transaction history, and full offline operation.

Pro subscription features: Full transaction history beyond 30 days, business insights and analytics, udhar analytics and reminders, cloud backup, device migration, staff mode, and smart payment reminders.

Pro subscription pricing may range from ₹99 to ₹299 per month and is subject to change with advance notice. Subscriptions are billed through Google Play.

No refunds: All subscription payments are final. We do not offer refunds on digital subscription payments except as required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to modify, add, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Core free features will not be removed without meaningful advance notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use KiranaMitra only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the App to process fraudulent, illegal, or deceptive transactions
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or modify the App
  • Use the App to circumvent, manipulate, or defraud UPI payment systems or NPCI regulations
  • Use the App to collect payments for prohibited goods or services under Indian law
  • Share your account access with unauthorized third parties for commercial gain
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App

Violation of these usage terms may result in immediate account suspension without notice.

6. Transaction Responsibility

⚠️ KiranaMitra generates QR codes and records transactions — it does not process, hold, guarantee, or intermediate any payments.

UPI payment processing: UPI payments initiated through KiranaMitra-generated QR codes are processed by NPCI and the respective UPI payment applications (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.), not by WeSimplifAI Private Limited.

Payment verification: The merchant is solely responsible for verifying that payment has been received before releasing goods or services. The App displays payment confirmation signals, but the merchant must exercise independent judgment.

Failed or disputed transactions: WeSimplifAI Private Limited is not liable for failed, delayed, reversed, or disputed UPI transactions. These matters are governed by NPCI's dispute resolution mechanisms and the policies of the relevant payment apps.

Transaction accuracy: The merchant is responsible for ensuring that items, prices, and quantities entered into the App are accurate before presenting the bill to the customer.

Udhar records: The App records udhar as entered by the merchant. The Company is not responsible for disputes arising from udhar records, or for ensuring collection of recorded credit.

7. Data & Privacy

Your transaction data is stored primarily on your device. When cloud backup is enabled, data is synced to Firebase Firestore (india region). We do not sell your data. Voice audio is never stored.

8. Intellectual Property

KiranaMitra, WeSimplifAI, all associated logos, trade names, product designs, and user interface elements are the exclusive property of WeSimplifAI Private Limited. All rights reserved.

The voice alias learning dataset, transaction pattern intelligence, and behavioral models generated by aggregate usage of the App remain the property of WeSimplifAI Private Limited. Your individual transaction data remains yours.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your personal Android device for its intended purpose. This license does not permit commercial redistribution, sublicensing, or derivative works.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App
  • Perfect voice recognition accuracy for all utterances, dialects, or environments
  • Compatibility with all Android devices or versions
  • That the App will meet your specific business requirements

We will make reasonable efforts to maintain availability and improve accuracy, but informal commerce environments involve conditions outside our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, WeSimplifAI Private Limited shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of income, revenue, or business opportunity arising from App unavailability or errors
  • Transaction errors resulting from incorrect item entry by the merchant
  • Business disruption arising from voice recognition failures or offline mode limitations
  • Loss of data due to device failure, theft, or accidental deletion when cloud backup is not enabled
  • Failed, delayed, or fraudulent UPI transactions processed by third-party payment systems

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro subscription fees in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in India.

We encourage you to contact us at support@kiranamitra.in to resolve any issues before initiating formal legal proceedings. We aim to respond to all support queries within 24 hours on business days.
